3.0 EARTHQUAKE RECORDED NEAR SHAWVILLE FRIDAY AFTERNOON

One week after a 5.1 magnitude earthquake that shook the Ottawa Valley, another has struck near Shawville. Earthquakes Canada is reporting that just before 4pm Friday (May 24), a magnitude 3.0 quake was recorded 20 kilometers northeast of Shawville.

MAJOR CRASH AT HWY 17 AND HWY 41 INTERSECTION

A serious collision at the intersection of Highway 17 and Highway 41 is slowing down traffic this afternoon. It appears two vehicles are involved and police are on scene directing traffic. The Laurentian Valley Fire Department are also on scene.

KID COMBAT DAYS AT CHAMPLAIN TRAIL MUSEUM
