Vigil for National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women
On Saturday, December 6th, at 11:00am, End Violence Alliance Renfrew County invites community members to gather in sombre recognition of National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. Please join us in lighting candles, laying roses, and sharing songs in remembrance and honour of all who experience gender-based violence.
The Women’s Monument is accessible from 2 Harry St. and 3 Algonquin St. in Petawawa. Street parking is available on-site. Please dress appropriately for the outdoor, cold weather conditions. There will be use of a sound system, video and audio recording throughout the Vigil. End Violence Alliance Renfrew County respectfully invites family members and close friends of those named on the Women’s Monument to identify themselves in advance of the Vigil, if they wish to lay a rose in honour of their loved one’s memory.
