The Upper Ottawa Valley Genealogical Group (UOVGG) is pleased to announce that Dave Lemkay, family historian and author, will be the guest speaker at a special meeting on Saturday, October 18th beginning at 1pm at the UOVGG library, 222 Dickson Street, Pembroke K8A 2X3. His presentation will be “Lemke Family Roots and Branches”, the story of his extensive family research from Germany to Petawawa Township and from there across North America and around the world. Dave’s story is told in his recent book Pines in the Sand. Copies will be available for sale. Group members and the general public are welcome. Free admittance.
