The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is reporting a 20th person has died from COVID-19.
The information was shared this afternoon (January 31st, 2022) and is the 9th local death linked to COVID-19 since December 29th, 2021.
Last week, the RCDHU reported 20 residents in the hospital with COVID-19, including two in the intensive care unit.
The provincial website says due to technical difficulties, the age of new cases is not currently available.
With another 96 cases reported over the weekend, the health unit is aware of 283 active COVID-19 cases across Renfrew County and District.
