The County of Renfrew has approved three pedestrian crossovers in Whitewater Region.
The township requested crossovers on Main Street (County Road 8) at Crawford Street in Cobden.
Another crossover was approved along Westmeath Road (County Road 12) at Grace Street intersection.
The third pedestrian crossover approved by County Council will be at the portion of Beachburg Road (County Road 21) at Cameron Street.
The request submitted by the Township of Whitewater Region to the County of Renfrew noted the locations will not only support safe pedestrian movement, but also improve crossing at Cobden District Public School, Beachburg Public School, and Our Lady of Grace Catholic School in Westmeath.
