The Town of Deep River is apologizing for the inconvenience caused by a short closure of the marina. On the township website it says a relatively minor oil spill occurred and the calm water helped reduce the spread. Town staff were able to clean up the spill in consultation with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. The marina and boat launch have reopened and staff will continue to monitor the area for any signs of contamination and work with the ministry to complete any investigative work.
