In the early morning hours of December 23rd, Upper Ottawa Valley OPP responded after a passenger vehicle left the roadway and came to rest in the ditch on Highway 17 in Head, Clara and Maria (HCM) Township.
The driver, and lone occupant was uninjured, but a Roadside Screening Device suggested the driver be transported to the detachment for further testing.
A 37 year-old HCM resident was charged with Impaired Operation and Over 80, and given a court date of January 12th in Pembroke.
On Christmas night, officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on Pembroke Street West, and again a roadside device suggested a visit to the detachment office.
As a result of this incident a 25 year-old Kingston man was also charged with impaired and Over 80 and booked to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 19th.
Both drivers had their licenses suspended for 90 days and their vehicles were towed and impounded for seven days.
