UPDATE: The OPP says a northbound pickup truck left the roadway on a curve, striking a fence and utility pole guide wires. A 22-year-old male driver from Petawawa was ejected from the vehicle. The driver was taken to an Ottawa-area hospital with life threatening injuries. An investigation is ongoing.

The roadway has since been reopened.
