Health officials in Ontario are out with stark new COVID-19 predictions.
Modelling suggests daily counts could hit one-thousand per day by the first half of October.
Cases in the province are currently doubling every 10 to 12 days.
Health Minister Christine Elliot says Ontario is reporting 625 cases of COVID-19 today as nearly 35,800 tests were completed.
Elliot says 288 new cases are in Toronto with 97 in Peel, 64 in Ottawa and 41 in York Region.
457 cases were listed as resolved.
The Health Minister says 62% of today’s cases are in people under the age of 40.
