Six separate legal cannabis stores are in the works in Pembroke. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) currently has all of the applications listed as under review.
Legal cannabis stores planned for Pembroke include OVCS at 1035 Pembroke Street East, Prairie and Luna Cannabis Co. at 143 Pembroke Street West (in the Mews Shopping Mall), Valley Cannabis at 820 Pembroke Street East, Kushys 100 Pembroke Street East (Suite A), SHINYBUD CANNABIS at 680 Pembroke Street East (Suite D) and Collective Growers at 79 Pembroke Street West.
Kushys also hopes to open a Petawawa location at 3025 Petawawa Boulevard (Unit 11). The public notice for this application ends on September 12th, 2020 meaning written submissions can be made from residents or the municipality where the proposed store is located.
In Deep River an application for Deep River Cannabis has been submitted for a store location on Highway 17 and there’s also an application for BayBud Cannabis on Bay Street in Barry’s Bay.
