The Renfrew County branch of the OSPCA is inviting you to take part in the Sweat for Pets virtual fundraiser. Community Development Coordinator, Heather Jobe, says the weekly challenges are fun for all ages and helps raise funds for vulnerable animals. Jobe says due to the COVID-19 pandemic they had to change up fundraisers this year to keep it safe for everyone.
This week (June 22nd) the Renfrew County Animal Centre kicked off the 10-week initiative with fun and at-home challenges. Jobe says she doesn’t want to give away too many details but one challenge is to see if you can run faster than your pet. She adds you don’t have to own a pet to get involved and you’re not expected to go for a 10km run (unless you want).
