Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced the Canada Emergency Response Benefit for anyone who loses income because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Trudeau says they will provide up to $2,000 a month for 4-months to any full-time, contract, self-employed, sick or quarantined workers.
Trudeau says an application portal will launch as soon as possible and money will be available within 10 days of applying. Trudeau says they are now testing 10,000 people per day for COVID-19. The Prime Minister adds anyone who returns from abroad must isolate at home for 14-days.
