Parts of several roads in Pembroke will be closed. The city is replacing water mains which will affect three separate areas. Until November 22nd part of River Road from the intersection at Townline Road and Bennett Street to Laurier Avenue will be closed. Only emergency services vehicles, local traffic, and large vehicles including school buses, waste management, and transports will be allowed in this location.
A section of MacKay Street in Pembroke will also be closed to the public as a part of the Muskrat River water main crossing project. Mackay Street between Esther Street and Metcalfe Street will be closed starting Monday (October 21st) until mid-November.
Stage one of the Muskrat River water main crossing project will also require the closure of Mary Street between Moffat Street and Mackay Street. There will be no access across the Mary street bridge and detours will be in place. Work is expected to start on Monday (October 21st) and continue until December 20th.
The City of Pembroke thanks you for your patience as they continue to improve local infrastructure. Drivers are asked to respect the posted construction signage at all times. Businesses within the construction zones will remain open.
