Head, Clara and Maria’s new mayor has been chosen.
Unofficial results from last night’s election show that Karen Leclerc won her bid to claim the title, receiving 235 votes compared to her opponent Rachel Richer’s 118.
The council positions for the United Townships of Head, Clara and Maria were all acclaimed, meaning Leclerc will be joined by Chris Dowser, Josée Lachance, Katherine Burelle and Angela Kim for the next term.
Of those four, only Chris Dowser was an incumbent.
