A Petawawa man, whose yearly Halloween display draws crowds, says he’s overwhelmed with the support from the community after his hard work was vandalized over the weekend.
Derek Loach has spent thousands of dollars and countless hours putting together the display every year, with a goal of raising money for the Renfrew County SPCA and the Petawawa Pantry.
He woke up Saturday morning to find a lot of damage was done to the front of the display.
Loach discovered the vandals when he reviewed video footage of his yard.
Loach says since he shared what happened on social media, the community has really lifted his spirits.
The OPP is now investigating the incident.
