If all goes according to plan, residents should be moving into Deep River’s new long term care home by mid- summer.
Janna Hotson, President and CEO of Deep River and District Health says construction is expected to be complete by the spring.
Hotson says the community really needed this major boost to long term care.
The new facility will have three resident home areas, or neighbourhoods, and will include a large gathering space, a spiritual space and outdoor gardens and trails to explore.
Hotson says there will be lots of opportunities for jobs at the facility.
The plan is to have leadership roles filled by the spring, with full staff on board by mid-summer.
Anyone wanting to apply can sign up at the Deep River and District Health careers page on their website.
