A Pembroke man has been arrested and now faces charges after Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a business on Mackay Street.
The incident is believed to have occurred just after 10:30 on Sept. 24, and according to Renfrew County Crime Stoppers, there was a high number of police activity to search for the person.
“A significant police presence was observed in the area as officers searched for the suspect,” they say. “Ontario Provincial Police’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Canine Unit were deployed to assist with the investigation and search efforts.”
According to Renfrew County Crime Stoppers, a 46-year-old man has been charged with Armed Robbery and Disguise with Intent and remains in custody while he awaits a bail hearing.
