Peacefully, fortified by the Sacraments of the Church, on the feast of the Exultation of the Holy Cross, September 14, 2026, at the age of 85 years, in the 62nd year of Priesthood. Son of the late John Bridge and Annette Giroux, he is mourned by his brother John, sister Anne, his nieces, nephews, clergy of the Diocese of Pembroke and the faithful in the parishes in which he served. In 1986 Monsignor Bridge was named a Prelate of Honour by Pope John Paul II. Rite of Reception at St-Jean-Baptiste Church, Pembroke at 1:00p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026 with visitation until 4:00p.m. Rite of Reception at Paroisse St-Pierre, Fort-Coulonge, Quebec, at 6:30p.m. With visitation until 9:00p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St-Pierre Church, Fort-Coulonge on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 10:00a.m. Interment in Cimetière Saint-Pierre, Mansfield.
