The Petawawa Heritage Village is getting into the fall spirit with a weekend of pumpkin displays, family activities and an after-dark mystery game in October.
Pumpkin People at the Heritage Village runs Oct. 16 to 18, 2026, as part of the Town of Petawawa Ramble. Visitors will be able to explore the historic village and grounds while discovering creative pumpkin people displays.
The village will be open for self-guided tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, and again Sunday, Oct. 18.
Saturday will feature a full day of activities, including High Tea, a photo booth provided by the Town of Petawawa and drop-in sticker workshops for children. Organizers say ticket and event details for High Tea will be released in mid-September.
The Saturday evening will take a darker turn with Werewolves in the Village, an immersive game night being presented with Looking Glass Toys.
Participants will investigate clues, question other players and try to determine which family among the pioneer residents belongs to the werewolf pack. Players will eventually gather for a mock town council meeting to nominate and vote out the family they believe is responsible.
Organizers say the game begins at 7 p.m. sharp and warn that late arrivals risk becoming the werewolves’ next meal.
The evening will also include food, drinks and board games. Separate tickets are required for the werewolf event.
Organizers say the weekend is designed to offer something for families during the day, while adding a more mysterious experience for visitors looking for an evening activity.
Pumpkin People at the Heritage Village takes place at the Petawawa Heritage Village, located at 176 Civic Centre Road.
