A retired nurse from Combermere has won the weekly prize in the latest Catch the Ace lottery supporting local health care.
Terry Jardeleza was selected as the Week 18 winner, taking home $1,094 after her ticket revealed the Jack of Diamonds.
Jardeleza worked as a nurse at St. Francis Memorial Hospital for many years and has been a longtime Catch the Ace supporter, purchasing tickets nearly every week throughout the various lottery campaigns.
She bought her latest ticket online and selected envelope No. 4, which corresponds with her husband’s birthday.
The Ace of Spades remains unclaimed and will carry over to the Week 19 draw.
The estimated weekly prize for Week 19 is $1,100, while the progressive jackpot is approximately $30,359. Finding the Ace of Spades would result in an estimated total prize of $31,459.
Jardeleza plans to put some of her winnings toward a trip to Newfoundland next year.
