TODAY: Baby Playtime takes place at the Pembroke Public Library this Thursday, August 27, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Babies and toddlers from about six to 24 months can enjoy playtime alongside their caregivers, with an emphasis on social skills, learning and discovering the library.
TODAY: High Altitudes and High Stakes: A Conversation with Lucy Foley takes place Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. as a live virtual library program. Fans of mystery fiction can join acclaimed author Lucy Foley to hear about her new Miss Marple mystery, Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel.
TODAY: Thirsty Thursdays runs at the Pembroke Public Library from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., offering adults a relaxed afternoon to spend some time at the library and connect with others.
TODAY: The All Hands on Deck Food Drive takes place Thursday, August 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at collection locations across the Ottawa Valley, including stops in Pembroke and Petawawa. Residents can donate food and personal-hygiene items, with donations supporting five local food banks and community food programs, including St. Joseph’s Food Bank and Petawawa Pantry.
TODAY: Teen Game Night returns to the Petawawa Public Library from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The drop-in program gives local teens a chance to play games, hang out with friends and make the most of the final days of summer vacation.

TOMORROW: Friday Nights at the Petawawa Container Market returns from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., giving shoppers a chance to browse local vendors, food and small businesses in an outdoor community setting. The event is officially listed on the Town of Petawawa’s August calendar.
TOMORROW: Waterfront LIVE! continues at Pembroke’s Riverwalk Amphitheatre Friday, August 28, featuring The Damon Betz Odyssey performing pop/folk. The free summer concert series gives listeners another chance to enjoy live music along the Ottawa River.
TOMORROW: Skylight Drive-In presents a double feature of GOAT and The Sheep Detectives on Friday night. Gates open at 7:00 p.m., with the show beginning at 8:00 p.m. The all-ages event is at the Pembroke drive-in and offers a classic movie-night experience from the comfort of your vehicle.
