TODAY: What Will It Be? Wednesday runs at the Pembroke Public Library from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The all-day summer program gives children and families a chance to drop in and discover whatever activity the library has planned for the day.
TODAY: Drop-in Summer Activities take place at the Petawawa Public Library from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The summer program gives children a chance to stop in, see what activity has been planned and spend some time at the library.
TODAY: The Pembroke Farmers’ Market returns Wednesday afternoon in downtown Pembroke, with local vendors offering fresh produce, baking, preserves, flowers and handcrafted products. It’s a chance to support local growers and makers while picking up something for the week.
TODAY: Waterfront LIVE! continues at Pembroke’s Riverwalk Amphitheatre Wednesday, August 26, at 7:00 p.m., featuring The Breaking Waves performing rock. The free concert offers another summer evening of live music beside the Ottawa River.
TOMORROW: Thirsty Thursdays takes place at the Pembroke Public Library from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., offering adults a relaxed afternoon to spend some time at the library and connect with others.
TOMORROW: The All Hands on Deck Food Drive takes place Thursday, August 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at collection locations across the Ottawa Valley, including stops in Pembroke and Petawawa. Residents can donate much-needed food and personal-hygiene items, with donations supporting five local food banks and community food programs, including St. Joseph’s Food Bank, Petawawa Pantry, The Grind, The Sharing Place in Golden Lake and Deep River Food Bank.
TOMORROW: Drop-in Summer Activities return to the Petawawa Public Library from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Thursday evening program is a Teen Game Night, giving local teens a chance to play games and spend time with friends.
