A section of Mackay Street in Pembroke will be closed Wednesday while crews carry out water service repairs.
The City of Pembroke says Mackay Street between Metcalfe and Alfred streets will be closed to traffic from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Aug. 26.
Only local traffic and emergency vehicles will be permitted through the affected area.
Detours will be in place, and the city is advising drivers to obey posted construction signs, expect possible delays and use alternate routes where possible.
Businesses in the construction and detour zones will remain open during the work.
The city thanked residents and businesses for their patience while the repairs are completed.
