Bonnechere Valley Mayor Jennifer Murphy says she’s excited to begin another four years as the head of township council.
Murphy was acclaimed when no one chose to run against her in the October 26th election, as nominations closed on Friday afternoon.
Murphy says being acclaimed isn’t something she takes lightly.
Murphy says she’s learned a lot in her 16 years on the job.
Murphy sees infrastructure like roads, bridges, water and waste water as the top priorities for the new council, along with improving Eganville’s downtown core.
The long time mayor will have an entirely new council as none of the current council members are running again.
