A 32-year-old Petawawa resident has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in the community earlier this month.
The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP says an officer was on patrol shortly after 2 a.m. on Aug. 8 when a vehicle was stopped on Sack Road.
Police say the driver was required to complete standardized field sobriety testing and was later taken to the OPP detachment for further testing.
Jordan Lefebvre was charged with operation while impaired and was released from custody.
Lefebvre is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on Sept. 14.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.
The allegation has not been tested in court.
