A 24-year-old Beachburg man has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in Pembroke early Saturday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police say an officer stopped a vehicle on Bell Street just before 2 a.m. on Aug. 15 after observing a traffic infraction.
A roadside screening device was used as part of the investigation, and the driver was taken to the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP detachment for further testing.
Police say Joshua Hiderman was charged with operation while impaired.
Hiderman was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on Nov. 10.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, while the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.
The allegations have not been tested in court.
