Upper Ottawa Valley OPP have charged a Laurentian Valley Township resident following an investigation into threats allegedly made against police officers and members of the justice system.
Police say 56-year-old Ronnie Dumoulin faces two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, as well as one count of intimidation of a justice system participant.
Dumoulin was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody.
The OPP says freedom of expression is protected in Canada, but threats and acts of violence are not and can result in criminal charges.
