Renfrew County is reminding residents they have until the end of the month to provide feedback on a proposed 10-year management plan for the Renfrew County Forest.
The draft Forest Management Plan, which covers the period from Jan. 1, 2027, to Dec. 31, 2036, remains available for public review and comment until July 31.
The Renfrew County Forest encompasses approximately 6,540 hectares across 54 separate properties throughout the county. The proposed plan outlines the objectives, strategies and operational direction that will guide the sustainable management of the forest over the next decade.
County officials are encouraging residents, neighbouring landowners, recreational users and anyone with an interest in the Renfrew County Forest to review the document and provide feedback during the public consultation period.
The draft plan is available online, and comments can be submitted through a survey included at the bottom of the webpage. The public comment period closes July 31.
