Veterans and active members of the Canadian Armed Forces who live in Ontario can now enjoy free day-use admission to provincial parks every day of the week.
The province announced the expanded program takes effect immediately, extending the benefit to weekends and statutory holidays at more than 340 Ontario Parks. Previously, complimentary access was limited to weekdays.
Eligible visitors can reserve online through the Ontario Parks Reservation Service or present valid military identification and proof of Ontario residency at park gates. Free admission also applies to everyone travelling in the same vehicle.
The province says more than 228,000 weekday visits have been made under the program since 2019, adding that broader access will encourage outdoor recreation while supporting the physical and mental well-being of veterans, active service members and their families.
