The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP have laid impaired driving charges against both drivers involved in a head-on collision in Petawawa over the weekend. The crash happened on Saturday night (July 4) at around 9pm on Town Centre Boulevard. A 54- year-old Petawawa man and a 33-year-old Ottawa woman are both charged with operation while impaired and operation with a blood alcohol concentration over 80. The man has also been charged with careless driving. Both drivers received an immediate 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and their vehicles were impounded for seven days.
