Fresh off the back of its one-year anniversary, a local barbershop is preparing to help local kids get the supplies they’ll need to go back to school in the fall.
Catherine Grant, the owner of Lumberjack Barbershop, is running a pencil case drive to help Family and Children’s Services of Renfrew County.
Proceeds from all haircuts at the shop until July 10th will go towards the drive, and Grant says any additional contributions are more than welcome.
There isn’t a specific goal in mind for the drive: Grant says the sky is the limit.
Grant also says direct contributions to the pencil case drive from residents who want to help but don’t need a haircut are also welcome.
Lumberjack Barbershop is located at 1200 Pembroke Street East. Anyone interested in directly donating can also send an etransfer to haircutwithcat@outlook.com with a note that says “pencil case drive.”
