The Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce will be holding its annual Business Excellence Gala at The Normandy Officers’ Mess on Saturday, Sept. 26, where a number of awards will be presented to local businesses and individuals from the Petawawa area.
One of the most prestigious awards presented is the Outstanding Business Award, which will be officially awarded to Cheryl Gordon of The Country Cupboard.
Businesses are now able to submit nominations for a number of different awards that will be presented that evening, and Christine Mitchell, Economic Development Manager for the Town of Petawawa, says there are a wide array of categories to be considered.
There are several new awards being offered this year, including the Change Maker Award, Youth Entrepreneurship Award and Women in Business Award, to name a few.
Early bird tickets are available until July 18. Member tickets are $110, while non-member tickets are $130. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Returning for its fourth year will be the popular art auction organized by Paint With Sheila.
