Here is a look at what’s going on in the town for the next 48 hours!
Good morning! Here’s a look at what’s happening around the Upper Ottawa Valley over the next couple of days.
Things are pretty quiet to start the week, with no major public community events scheduled in Pembroke or Petawawa on Monday. That makes it a great chance to enjoy the outdoors or get ready for the Canada Day celebrations that kick off the following day.
On Tuesday, the festivities begin in Pembroke with the city’s Canada Day Eve celebration at Riverside Park and the Waterfront. Families can enjoy free activities throughout the day, including a barbecue, bouncy castles, and free T-shirt tie-dyeing. In the evening, take in the Oh Canada Eh! musical dinner show before settling in for an outdoor screening of Mufasa: The Lion King, complete with free popcorn.
Over in Petawawa, Tuesday also offers a chance to get out and meet your neighbours during the community Walk and Ice Cream Social. Residents are invited to take part in a friendly walk before cooling off with complimentary ice cream as the town gets ready to celebrate Canada Day.
Whether you’re heading to Pembroke’s Canada Day Eve festivities or enjoying a sweet treat in Petawawa, it’s a great way to kick off the holiday celebrations close to home.
That’s your community roundup — more local events coming up tomorrow!
