If you’re looking for ways to get involved around Pembroke and Petawawa over the next couple of days, there’s a nice mix of family activities, community meetings, recreation programs and library events to check out.
Wednesday gets started at the Pembroke Public Library with a Day Care Visit from 10 until 11 in the morning, bringing young children into the library for stories, learning and exploration.
In Petawawa, the afternoon features a meeting of the Petawawa OPP Detachment Board from 2:30 until 4:30. It’s an opportunity for residents to stay informed about local policing and community safety issues.
Later in the day, families can head outdoors for Parent and Child Stand-Up Paddleboarding beginning at 5 o’clock in Petawawa, offering a chance to enjoy some time on the water together.

At the Pembroke Public Library, the English Conversation Group meets from 12:30 until 1:30 in the afternoon, providing a welcoming environment for people looking to practice their English and build confidence in conversation.
Then later in the day, Intergenerational Story Time at Marianhill runs from 2:30 until 3:30, bringing together seniors and children to share stories, laughter and community connections.
