The County of Renfrew Paramedic Services’ first-ever Wilderness Response Symposium brought life-saving discussions and training to Algonquin Park.
130 participants from 20 paramedic services and seven partner agencies attended the gathering earlier this month, which provided valuable opportunities to learn from one another, share their experiences, and strengthen relationships across organizations.
Among the topics covered at the event included wilderness patient packaging and transport, aviation resources, navigation, and remote response operations.
The County’s paramedics say they look forward to building on the inaugural event as they continue to strengthen their collective ability to provide care wherever it is needed.
