If you’re looking for something happening around Pembroke and Petawawa over the next couple of days, there are a few opportunities to learn something new, connect with others, and get involved in the community.
Tuesday starts off at the Pembroke Public Library with Story Time and Craft from 10:30 until 11:30 in the morning. It’s a great chance for young children and their caregivers to enjoy stories, activities and some creative fun together.
Also Tuesday morning, Petawawa hosts Workplace Safety Essentials with WSPS beginning at 10 o’clock. The session focuses on workplace health and safety information and resources for local employers and workers.
Later in the afternoon, Petawawa’s Business Tea and Social Event gets underway at 3 p.m., offering a relaxed setting for local business owners, professionals and community members to network and make new connections.
Then Tuesday evening, gamers can head to the Pembroke Public Library for Video Game Club from 6 until 7 p.m., with an hour of friendly competition and fun.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, the Petawawa OPP Detachment Board meets at 2:30 in the afternoon. The meeting provides an opportunity to stay informed about policing matters and community safety issues in the area.
And if you’d rather spend some time outdoors, the Parent and Child Stand-Up Paddleboarding program takes place in Petawawa starting at 5 p.m., giving families a chance to get out on the water and enjoy an active evening together.
