A woman from North Algona Wilberforce Township is facing an impaired driving charge after police stopped a side-by-side vehicle earlier this month.
Upper Ottawa Valley OPP officers were at a local festival in the Eganville area on the evening of June 6th, when they saw the side-by-side approach the registration desk.
Police spoke to everyone in the vehicle and utilized a roadside screening device on the driver.
The 34-year-old woman was taken back to the detachment for further testing and subsequently charged with operation while impaired.
The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and the vehicle towed and impounded for a week.
