Here is a look at what’s going on in the town for the next 48 hours!
There are plenty of opportunities to get out, get involved, and connect with your community over the next couple of days in Pembroke and Petawawa.
Let’s start in Petawawa, where Thursday kicks off with Crochet Club at the Petawawa Public Library from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Whether you’re an experienced crocheter or just enjoy crafting with good company, it’s a relaxed way to spend part of your morning.
Later in the day, the Petawawa Civic Centre hosts a 50+ Speed Puzzle Competition from 1 until 3:30 p.m. Teams of two will race against the clock to complete identical 500-piece puzzles, making for a fun afternoon of teamwork and friendly competition.
Young artists will also have a chance to get creative at the Petawawa Public Library during Art2Start for ages 7 to 10. That program runs from 4 to 5 p.m. and offers plenty of hands-on artistic fun.
Over in Pembroke, the Pembroke Public Library is welcoming participants to its English Conversation Group from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. It’s a great opportunity to build language skills, meet new people, and enjoy some friendly conversation. Then from 2 until 8 p.m., the library opens its doors for Drop-in Crafts, giving visitors of all ages a chance to work on creative projects at their own pace.
Looking ahead to Friday, families with little ones can start the morning at the Petawawa Public Library with Do-Re-Me & Baby Music. Two sessions are available, one from 9:30 to 10 a.m. and another from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m., offering babies and caregivers a chance to explore music, movement, and sensory play together.
In Pembroke, the morning continues with Hugs, Snuggles and Rhymes at the Pembroke Public Library from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. It’s a welcoming program featuring stories, songs, and activities designed for young children and their caregivers.
Then in the afternoon, anyone needing a little help with their devices can stop by the Pembroke Public Library for Tech Time from 2 to 4 p.m. Whether it’s a smartphone, tablet, or laptop question, staff will be on hand to provide one-on-one assistance.
So whether you’re feeling creative, competitive, musical, or simply looking to connect with others in the community, there’s something happening across Pembroke and Petawawa to help fill your day.
