The Garrison Petawawa Fire Department is investigating two suspicious fires that occurred on military property within the past month.
Fire officials say the incidents took place in the areas of Dundonald Drive and Laurentian Drive. The fires remain under investigation and a cause has not yet been determined.
The department says the incidents highlight the importance of fire safety education, particularly for children and youth.
Officials are urging parents and caregivers to discuss the dangers of fire with their children, noting that fires and wildfires can spread quickly and pose serious risks to people and property.
The fire department is also asking members of the public to report any suspicious activity related to fires.
Anyone with information about the incidents is encouraged to contact the Garrison Petawawa Fire Department at 613-588-5555.
