Two Ottawa residents face charges after police pulled over a stolen vehicle in Pembroke recently.
According to the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP, an officer stopped the vehicle on Christie Street in the early morning hours of May 22nd after his plate reader notified him of a stolen vehicle.
Both parties were arrested and the driver was tested for impairment. Police say they also seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine as well as Canadian currency.
39 year old Taylor Hein is charged with three counts of trafficking, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime and failing to comply with a probation order, while 35 year old Nina Lance was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, operation while impaired and breach of recognizance. Both will appear in court in Pembroke later this month.
