The Renfrew County branch of the SPCA and Humane Society is always looking for loving homes for the animals in its care, but for two days this week, they’re putting a special focus on big dogs. Adoption Days being held on Friday and Saturday will see adoption fees for dogs over 65 pounds reduced by half.
Community Outreach Coordinator Heather Jobe tells about one-year-old Bumper, who has been at the shelter for over a month.
Jobe says if Bumper is not for you, their staff can help you find a dog that suits your family.
Adoption fees include spay or neuter, vaccinations, microchips, flea and tick medication and even some food to ensure a smooth transition to the pet’s new home.
