A seven thousand dollar donation will help an equine-assisted wellness program, including support for veterans, through Pembroke Regional Hospital.
The recent donation by the Petawawa Civitan Club to the PRH Foundation will be used for the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) Equine Program. The program uses hands-on interactions with horses in supporting mental health and recovery. Sessions are delivered in partnership with Greener Pastures Inc.
This is just the latest donation by the Civitan Club for this particular program, bringing their contributions to more than $20,000 over the past few years.
