Two Ottawa Valley doctors are being celebrated for her exceptional work in the community.
Dr. Stephanie Langlois of the Renfrew Medical Group and Dr. Jason Malinowski of the Madawaska Valley Family Health Team were honoured at the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada annual awards ceremony in Quebec City, which recognizes individuals and academic recipients for contributions that strengthen rural and remote health care across Canada.
Dr. Malinowski received the SRPC Long Rural Service Award for 20 years of serving his community, as well as their Fellowship of Rural and Remote Medicine and Rural Mentorship Award.
Dr. Langlois also received their Rural Long Service Award and Fellowship of Rural and Remote Service, as well as their Lifetime Member Award.
The SRPC notes that those honours recognize both of their efforts to go above and beyond in rural and remote medicine, which requires a wide range of skills, adaptability, and dedication.
