Summer’s on the move this year in Arnprior.
Recreation Programming and Events Supervisor Lucas Power explains.
The park, known as Arnprior’s jewel is getting a two-year facelift, creating the opportunity for other venues in the community to shine.
First to pick up stakes and relocate is the ever-popular Priorpalooza, June 6th from Noon-9PM.
Another venue to acquaint yourself with is Hydro Park East (which will be home to five of the eleven Concerts-in-the-Park and Canada Day.
Power tells us the Dragon Boat Festival- as its on the water, isn’t going anywhere. It’s on July 18th- but the St. John Chrysostom Parish Hall is pressed into service as the Dragon Boat Clubhouse.
The Cultural Night Market, in the downtown core, runs from 4-9PM August 22nd.
Relocating an event is something that- if it doesn’t require Champlain’s Astrolabe, does involve a certain amount of study.
The Recreation Programming and Events Supervisor says it may be incumbent for those attending to bring along a parasol.
Curious that during Power’s presentation to Town Council Monday (May 11th), none of our elected reps queried him about the position of Old Sol.
It’s one thing to inform residents about the changes- what about the out-of-towners who enjoy spending part of their Summer days in the Town Where the Rivers Meet?
And of course, you can stay abreast of all you need to know by following the Town’s social media, and Arnprior Life.
