The Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a robbery at a gas station in Pembroke early Wednesday morning.
Police say officers with the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP were called to a business in the 1200 block of Pembroke Street West at about 2:10 a.m. on May 13.
Investigators allege a woman entered the store, brandished a knife and demanded cash from an employee. Police say the employee was not injured during the incident.
The suspect allegedly fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen heading eastbound on Pembroke Street West.
Officers, assisted by members of the OPP Emergency Response Team and the Canine Unit, searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
Police describe the person of interest as a white woman in her late 30s with dark hair, standing about 160 centimetres tall, or five-foot-three, with a medium build.
The investigation is continuing with assistance from the OPP Community Street Crime Unit and the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP Crime Unit.
Police are asking anyone with information, including security camera or dash camera footage related to the incident, to contact the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP or Pembroke/Renfrew County Crime Stoppers.
