The Ottawa Valley’s public schools have taken a moment to recognize exemplary work being done in the classroom.
Ten Renfrew County District School Board staff members were honoured at their annual Employee Recognition Awards, nominated by their peers for going above and beyond to contribute to a positive, productive workplace in RCDSB schools and central departments.
The school board notes that the winners show a deep commitment to the achievement, equity, and well-being of RCDSB students, staff, and communities and consistently demonstrate the heart of their strategic plan.
This years winners are:
- Bryan Bennett – Elementary Teacher, Highview Public School
- Anita Byrnes – Educational Support Personnel, Madawaska Valley District School
- Bonnie Gauthier – Custodian, Renfrew Collegiate Institute/Renfrew Collegiate Intermediate School
- Kevin Klawitter – Secondary Teacher, Madawaska Valley District School
- Sharon McCafferty – Executive Assistant to the Superintendent of Education and Program Services
- Tina Nelson – Principal, K-12 Indigenous Education
- Katie Pelley – Early Childhood Educator, Eganville and District Public School
- Keith Roach – Secondary Teacher, Fellowes High School
- Carina Wuehr – Custodian, Pine View Public School
- Graeme Wyatt – Secondary Teacher, Arnprior District High School
