A bush fire has kept the Madawaska Valley Fire Department busy for most of Monday.
Firefighters have been working to contain the fire, which has burned 60 acres on private property along Highway 62 between Combermere and Barry’s Bay, since first responding to the blaze on the weekend.
The fire has been contained on three sides, and the MVFD anticipates the fire will be fully contained sometime this afternoon.
No structures are at risk, and an update is expected in the near future.
