A 62-year-old Pembroke resident is facing charges following an impaired driving investigation in the city.
Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police say officers were called to an occupied parked vehicle on Albert Street at about 5:25 p.m. on April 12.
Police say cannabis use was observed, prompting an impaired driving probe. Officers conducted a standard field sobriety test before taking the driver into custody.
John Mawdsley of Pembroke is charged with operation while impaired by drugs and having care or control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available.
Police say his driver’s licence was suspended and the vehicle was impounded.
He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on May 12.
