A watermain break at a central Petawawa intersection has prompted a response from municipal and provincial water officials, with repairs now underway.
Staff from the Town of Petawawa and the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) were mobilized to address the break at the intersection of Mohns Avenue and Violet Street.
Residents living near the affected area may experience fluctuations in water pressure, along with possible discolouration in their tap water as crews work to resolve the issue.
Officials said there is currently no boil water advisory in effect. However, OCWA staff will notify businesses and residents directly if conditions change.
The town also indicated there is no risk of flooding to private properties as a result of the break.
Motorists should expect traffic delays in the area and are advised to use alternate routes where possible.
For more information, residents can contact the Town of Petawawa’s Public Works Department.
