A local organization for neurodivergent residents of the Ottawa Valley is preparing for a fundraising event to celebrate International Autism Awareness Day.
Neuro Unique World is partnering with Dominos locations in Pembroke and Petawawa on Thursday, April 2nd, with $5 from every large one-topping pizza purchased that day going towards the organization.
The company offers services like private tutoring and life skills coaching as well as various group activities like culinary courses and youth night events.
Samantha Grabko, the owner and operator of the organization, says it provides services to a number of people in and around the community.
Grabko, who describes herself as autistic, says she founded Neuro Unique World a few years ago after moving to Petawawa with her husband.
She says she found in her own life that she tended to gravitate to other neuro-diverse students as a child.
Neuro Unique World is new to partnering with other businesses, Grabko says, with Dominos being the first to take part in its new sponsorship program.
The company is seeking more businesses interested in taking part in the sponsorship program. Anyone interested in Neuro Unique World’s services or sponsorship opportunities is urged to visit the company’s website.
